Check Out Video “Mount Olympus (San Francisco)” with Electronic Tonalities by CatySynth TV

I’ve been a subscriber to Amanda Chaudhary’s CatSynth TV’s YouTube channel for a long time. The channel has been branching out a bit going beyond pure synth topics.

Case in point today’s video tour of Mount Olympus (San Francisco).

As lockdown continues I’m really appreciating videos like this that transport me to to an artist’s environs. I especially enjoy Amanda’s soundtrack to this video which reminds me a bit of a cross between Electronic Tonalities of Bebe and Louis Barron and perhaps the score to an Alfred Hitchcock film.

We visit Mount Olympus in San Francisco. A somewhat obscure spot in the city, it was once dubbed the “geographic center of San Francisco”. A statue was placed at the top of the hill by Adolph Sutro at the end of the 19th century. All that remains now is the obelisk at the center a small park. We explore the location as well as its 360-degree views of the city.

Original music by Amanda Chaudhary using the following synthesizers:
Minimoog
Sequential Prophet 12
Buchla Red Panel 158 oscillator
Strymon Magneto
EastWest Bosendorfer piano
Arturia OB-Xa V
Arturia Mellotron V
