The Rocky Mountain Synthesizer Meetup which I founded in 2012 is the home of 840+ Denver & Boulder Front Range synth synthesists. I have hosted over 75+ free events.

Synth enthusiasts of all levels meet to share there passion for synths, network, learn and get inspired, get hands-on with gear, tell people about projects, and find collaborators. It is synth technology agnostic and features broad variety of rotating presentation topics and experiences each meetup – most presentations given by members themselves. Many meetups feature a performance by a meetup member.

It was winner of Best Music Meetup (http://www.westword.com/best-of/2017/arts-and-entertainment/best-music-meetup-8919194) in 2017 by Westword Magazine.

Each meetup typically features a presentation selected from a broad variety of topics ranging from reviews of new synths, overviews of synth technology, how-to lectures on synthesis and performance technique, and fun community events like Synth Petting Zoos, and Modular Synth Lightning Patch Walk-throughs. This is followed by socializing and often a performance by a meetup member.

History
The meetup, which started as the “Boulder Synthesizer Meetup”, has grown to over 840+ members all across the front-range. This necessitated a name change and we are now the Rocky Mountain Synthesizer Meetup (RockyMountainSynth.com). Typical attendance is usually between 35-60+ people depending on the time of year, weather, and the theme.
Our biggest Event was over 110 people when Ableton chose our meetup as the launch-point in Denver for Live 9.5 and Push 2.

Our members come from diverse backgrounds and interests and include synthesists, musicians (pro & hobbyists), educators, industry folks, producers, performers, engineers…
