Closing in on 2K Subscribers on YouTube

I just noticed I am only 3 people away from crossing 2K subscribers on YouTube 😲.
First off, a big thank you to all who have already subscribed!
If you haven’t subscribed, do me a favor and subscribe to help me cross the 2k milestone.
For those who are not familiar with my YouTube channel, I’ve been slowly sharing videos on my journey as a synthesist, music technologist, sound designer, multimedia artist, and performer since 2007. My channel has videos like:
- Live performance videos from my solo and collaborative work
- Videos from communities I organize such as the Rocky Mountain Synthesizer Meet and Synth Patrol
- The occasionally synth tech & technique videos (you might see videos referring to Modulate This, which was a blog I started in 2005 which was it’s own site for over 10 years. I folded that blog into my artist site here in it’s own category https://markmoshermusic.com/category/modulate-this/).
- Announcements, vlogs, and behind-the-scenes videos
- Original multimedia film shorts
- Synth jams and improvs
In looking back I have a few “evergreen” videos that get a lot of views.
Here is an older video on the Tone 2 Gladiator synth engine that has 255K views 😲.
Here is another popular and informative video on how to patch u-he ACE.
Here is a multimedia performance video called Doppelgänger I produced for the Modular World anniversary party.
Here is a short sci-fi film I made called “Last Known Transmission“.
One more video, “Deerzzed”, in the category of “I don’t normally do covers, but when I do, I play Daft Punk”.
Hopefully that gives you a sense of the 300+ videos on my channel. Of course more videos of this sort are on the way so please subscribe.
Listen on YouTube Music

And speaking of YouTube, I wanted to mention that I’m on a mission to get all 20+ music releases from my catalog stretching back over 10 years on to YouTube music.
I have about 80% of my releases there already which you can find on my artist page here.
For those not familiar with YouTube music, it’s a music streaming service that works in your browser, and also has its own mobile and CarPlay app. There are two versions:
- Free ad-supported version which includes access to background play and downloads for most podcasts
- YouTube Music Premium, which gives you exclusive access to music benefits, such as: Background play for music, Music without ads, Audio-only music
Pro Tip: you also get YouTube Music Premium if you are a YouTube Premium subscriber. Like many synthesists, I pretty much live on YouTube and I’ve been on Premium for a while so I don’t have wade through ads. It’s also nice for offline content.
Recently, I’ve been using YouTube Music more and more. In early testing YouTube Music seems to have more dynamic range in the car and beat-driven music seems to really “bump”. I’ve seen mention of this from some channels on YouTube. Perhaps something to do with Spotify app limiting or something. Anyway, YouTube Music has some interesting takes on music discovery and also blends in video content into the music experience in interesting ways, so give it a spin if you are looking for a Spotify alternative or you just want a way to listen to music while you are hanging out on YouTube.
P.S. My Music is also on Spotify (and pretty much every other streaming platform).
Closing Thoughts
Stay tuned for future updates when new releases, and past releases from my catalog are released for wider distribution.
Mark
