About the Show
Three artists conjure the vibrant colors, mellow refracted light, and entrancing blue skies of Autumn in a venue dedicated to sound, sight, and vision. Autumn Light is the first appearance at Lumonics by Victoria Lundy, Mark Mosher, and monoscene. Please join us for a sonic journey of light and sound.
Lumonics Light & Sound Gallery is an immersive light sculpture gallery featuring the work of light artists Dorothy and Mel Tanner. Lumonics is an artform that combines interactive light, music, and sculptures to create immersive experiences and is a perfect venue for electronic music.
monoscene is an experimental electronic music project by Christoph Scholtes. monoscene employs multiple artistic concepts and sound sources, including modular synthesis, tape loops, acoustic elements, vocals, and field recordings to push creative boundaries of the electronic music genre. Born and raised in Germany, Christoph lives in Colorado and actively participates in the local Colorado music community. His family and the mountains inspire him.
Mark Mosher plays, composes, and improvises original music from experimental cinematic soundscapes to techno using hardware and software synthesizers, samplers, and effects. For Autumn Light, Mark will perform with Percussa AudioCubes and Tenori-On. Mark is acknowledged as a leading practitioner of the Percussa AudioCubes, having developed 9 Box Method and Templates for them.
Victoria Lundy is a noted thereminist who has played in the Denver experimental/underground scene since the 90s. In addition, she performs classic musique concrète, often in collaboration with Mark Mosher and Thomas Lundy in the Carbon Dioxide Ensemble. Currently, she’s concentrating on solo ambient work exploring the expressive qualities of the theremin.
