Buckle Up! Sonic Encounters Season 04 Soundscapes Podcast is Underway.

Hi everyone. Season 04 of the Sonic Encounters Podcast is underway.

In this season I will be incorporating some explorations into the use of classical tonalities like piano and cello phrases and motifs improvised on a Push 2 using it’s isomorphic grid note layout. I’ll also be incorporating MPE performances on a Sensel Morph later in the series.

Informed by my on-going read of the 600+ page tome “Treatise on Musical Objects: An Essay across Disciplines” by Pierre Schaeffer – I will then do additional improvisational passes using these clips as “musical objects”.

Buckle up as these these pieces will offer a mix of on-grid and off-grid note timings, grid timing manipulations, polyrhythms, alternative tunings, and more.

The first episode “S04-E01: A Brave Attempt to Plod Along Unnoticed” is now available on SoundCloud, Apple Podcasts and your fav podcatcher with this Feed.

If you enjoy the song leave a comment on SoundCloud or comment on this post.

Here is a playlist with all episodes.
