Happy Friday! Here is a 2m23s video for my new techno song called “Doppelgänger“.

Watch till the end for a fun little twist.

Music

This video is a live musical performance in one take. While other gear is pictured, ALL sounds are coming from the Synthstrom Deluge. This includes the lead synth sound which is played via MIDI using a Launchkey Mini MK3 with the Deluge acting as a USB host. The song also includes an original field recording from an epic thunderstorm new Boulder Colorado.

Visuals

The video is made up of multiples layers.

Layer 1 – A live continuous 2-camera angle shoot of the musical performance in front of green screens.
Layer 2 – A combination of live footage from camera 2, video synthesis footage from Resolume. This was all composited in on the green screen.
Layer 3 – The entire video itself became a meta layer and I spent about a few hours adding a zillion visual FX edits both layers.
