In this post I’ll be sharing some notes on a way to power your current generation 12v Digital Elektron boxes either from a phone battery power brick or via a powered hub.
I ordered a few of these from BirdCord https://www.songbirdfx.com/products/birdcord12v/.

BTW – As of the date of this post, I noticed they were on sale.
I tested both on battery and from powered hub with Digitone, Digitakt, and Octatrack MKII and they work great!

I especially appreciate how much room this will save over packing Elektron power cables with the bricks in the middle of the cable when I’m traveling with multiple machines.
The build-quality is super solid. Each cable comes with a handy bag to hold the cable and the adapter when not in use. This makes it easy to find them in your pile of cables or in the deep recesses of your gig backpack. The manufacturer even dropped me a handwritten note.

They shipped with DHL from Austria to the US and it took less than a week. When you order, don’t forget add the 2.5mm adapter.
Highly recommended.
Note, they have other adapter cables for other gear as well https://www.songbirdfx.com/. For example they also have the cable for the Deluge so you can free up the USB to run an external MIDI controller in USB host mode https://www.songbirdfx.com/products/birdcord/.
Let the couch and mobile Elektron jams begin!
