I Interviewed Gary Numan for My Synth Blog Modulate This!

Gary Numan was kind enough to take time out of his schedule to answer a few questions for synth blog Modulate This!

While most of you no doubt know Gary Numan from his 80’s mega hit “Cars”, what you may not know is that at 54 he’s at the top of his game and his latest studio release Splinter (Songs from a Broken Mind) is his best work to date. He is out on the road touring to support the album and was in Denver last week playing at the Gothic Theater and took time out of his schedule to answer some questions. In this interview, he offers some incredibly thoughtful and insightful answers about his new album, career, his connections with Trent Reznor and Nine Inch Nails and offered some thoughts on how to take the “long view” of your artistic career.

Special thanks to the fantastic photographer and musician Rod Tanaka for coordinating this interview. Rod took some amazing photos of the show that I’ll be posting in the next week.

Cheers,
